The 3rd MSAT Committee
The 3rd MSAT CommitteeAugust 4, 2021

We believe that during the two days conference, all of us have obtained a fruitful discussion. We have learned a lot from the keynote sessions delivered by the amazing keynote speakers, twenty-four invited speakers who have shared their interesting work, and 6 mini-sessions were delivered by very interactive mini-session moderators. Once again, thank you for delivering such important materials so that all of us can deepen our knowledge about research in maritime sectors.

Furthermore, we would like to express my appreciation to all the participants from researchers, professionals, lecturers, students, and even teachers from Pangandaran  Education, Youth, and Sports Office, for attending the conference and to all your organizations in Indonesia for sending excellent participants to the conference, such as Geospatial Information Agency Republic of Indonesia (BIG), Marine Affairs and Fisheries Republic of Indonesia (KKP), Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), Indonesia Institute of Sciences (LIPI), and other institutes and universities. We are certain that every presenter has presented excellent presentations and active discussions. Thus, we can conclude that the purpose of the conference has been completely accomplished. We hope that what you have learned through the conference will help you a lot in your duties and lead to the stability of the region in the future. We sincerely hope that through your presentation and discussion afterward, all of us can contribute to solving issues related to the maritime sector in our own countries. Small contribution considered valuable. We will conduct a reviewing process of your submitted papers before we send them to the Scopus-indexed international proceeding and national accredited journals. We kindly ask for your cooperation and patience during this process.

Finally, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience that you might experience during this conference. We do also hope that we can meet again in the 4th MSAT 2023. Thank you!

Ocean-Atmosphere Dynamics

The session discusses ongoing issues related to an oceanographic operational system, forecasting and prediction with data assimilation, and modeling analysis results related to ocean-atmosphere dynamics.

Marine Resources, Conservation, and ICZM

Strengthening resilience, mitigation, and adaptation of environment and biodiversity to fight against natural and anthropogenic stresses and this covers a discussion on the impact of marine pollutants on coastal ecosystem and conservation. Provides a platform to exchange knowledge about the marine ecosystem and development of aquatic food resources through sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, particularly on the role of aquatic animal health to ensure a safe supply of seafood (food security).

Marine Resources, Conservation, and ICZM (Sub-session: Aquarium)

This session discusses a range of relevant topics from sustainability, husbandry, hardware, and new technology in marine aquariums.

Marine Hazard, Coastal Degradation, and Coastal Protection

Research theme invites interdisciplinary research topics targeting risk reduction caused by natural hazards, including disaster management.

Marine Hazard, Coastal Degradation, and Coastal Protection (Sub-session: Coastal Hazard along the South Coast of Java)

Research theme invites interdisciplinary research topics targeting risk reduction caused by natural hazards, including disaster management, particularly the incident along the South Coast of Java

Marine Geodesy, Satellite, and Operational Oceanography

Assessment to the future application of earth system science for a broad range of potential users. This includes updates to the advancement of geodetic observations, availability of the-state-of-the-art high-resolution digital topography, ongoing improvement of dating methods.
